Ross’ explosive fiddle playing lies at the heart of some of the biggest acts on the Scottish folk scene previously part of Scots Folk Award winning (Band of the Year) Bodega. He is currently fiddle player in the mighty Peatbog Faeries.

Tom Oakes is a multi award winning guitarist and flautist who as well as being a founder member of the genre defying Auvo Quartet is also known for his work as a solo flautist (A new trio featuring Andy May and Adam Sutherland coming soon. ‘Traditional Spirits’ with Scots harpist Ailie Robertson alongside Fraser Fifield, Adam Sutherland, James Ross, Patsy Reid, Conrad Molleson and Mattie Foulds and a new band with the mighty twin fiddles of Hungarian Fiddle virtuoso Jani Lang and former Malinky fiddler Jon Bews. Ross and Tom have recently performed to great acclaim across Europe with sell-out tours of Norway and Denmark, performances at world famous festivals Shetland Folk Festival and Tønder Festival in Denmark where they played to a 5000 strong outdoor crowd. In 2011 they were nominated for ‘Best up and Coming Act’ in the Scottish Traditional Music Awards and were awarded a coveted 5 Star review for their performance at the Edinburgh Fringe.

They are keen collaborators and have toured with Fiddler’s Bid and Session A9’s Kevin Henderson as well as with multi platinum Danish pop sensation Lukas Graham.
